After [b3521c15d] and [f1bd669e8df] are done, it will be possible to build Ian Schofield's display improvement feature conditionally, allowing the simulator to run faster, which some may want and others may simply require. This feature takes more CPU power, which at the least reduces responsiveness of other threads, especially CPU-hungry ones.
